Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Angicoo (“Angicoo”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, transfers and stores personal data when you visit www.angicoo.com (the “Site”), communicate with us, interact with our social media channels or otherwise use our services.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of service. Please read it carefully so that you understand how and why we process personal data.

We rely on the lawful bases explained in this Privacy Policy. Where we rely on consent, including for certain non-essential cookies, advertising activities or marketing communications, we will request that consent separately where required. You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our services, providers, technology, business practices or legal obligations. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Where a change materially affects how we use personal data, we will provide additional notice or request consent where required by law.

1. Personal data we collect

The personal data we collect depends on how you use the Site and may include:

  • Identity and contact details, such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing address and delivery address.
  • Order and transaction details, such as the products you order, order value, delivery method, returns, refunds and payment status.
  • Payment details. Payments are handled by Shopify Payments or another payment provider made available at checkout. We do not normally receive or store your full card number. We may receive limited payment information, such as the payment method, card type, the last four digits of the card and payment status.
  • Account details, if you create an account, including your login details, saved addresses and order history.
  • Communications, including messages, customer service enquiries, reviews and other information you choose to send us.
  • Device and usage data, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, time zone, pages and products viewed, referring website, searches, clicks and other interactions with the Site.
  • Marketing and preference data, including your email marketing choices, cookie choices and advertising preferences.
  • Fraud and security data, such as risk indicators, account activity and information used to protect the Site and transactions.

We collect personal data directly from you, automatically through cookies and similar technologies, and from service providers involved in running the Site and fulfilling orders, including Shopify, payment providers, delivery partners and, where enabled, analytics and advertising providers such as Google.

Please do not send us sensitive personal data unless we specifically ask for it and have a valid reason to process it.

2. How and why we use personal data

We use personal data for the following purposes and rely on the lawful bases shown below:

  • To process and deliver orders, take payment, provide order confirmations, manage returns and refunds, and provide customer support. We do this because it is necessary to perform our contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To operate and administer the Site, maintain customer accounts and improve our products and services. We rely on our legitimate interests in running and improving our business, provided those interests do not override your rights.
  • To keep the Site and transactions secure, prevent fraud, investigate suspicious activity and protect our legal rights. We rely on our legitimate interests and, where applicable, our legal obligations.
  • To meet accounting, tax, consumer protection and other legal requirements. We process this information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
  • To understand Site use and measure performance. Where analytics involves non-essential cookies or similar technologies, we rely on your consent. In limited cases, we may rely on another lawful basis or an exemption where the law permits and all relevant conditions are met.
  • To measure advertising, create audiences and show relevant advertising, including through Google Ads. Where required, we do this only with your consent.
  • To send marketing emails. We rely on your consent or, where permitted by law, the existing-customer “soft opt-in”. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the link in any marketing email or by contacting us.
  • To establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We rely on our legitimate interests or legal obligations, as appropriate.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, those interests include operating an efficient retail business, improving customer service, preventing fraud, keeping our systems secure and understanding how our business performs. We consider the effect on your rights before relying on this basis.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

3. Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use cookies, pixels, tags and similar technologies to operate the Site and, where you agree, to understand how the Site is used, measure advertising and provide more relevant advertising.

These technologies generally fall into the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary: required for functions such as the shopping basket, checkout, security and network management. These cannot normally be switched off through our cookie tool.
  • Preferences and functionality: remember choices and provide enhanced Site features.
  • Analytics: help us understand visits, traffic sources and Site performance.
  • Advertising: measure campaigns, support conversion tracking, build audiences and provide advertising based on interests or previous interactions with the Site.

We ask for consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies where required by law. You can accept, reject or manage non-essential cookies through the banner shown when you first visit the Site. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences or Privacy choices link in the Site footer. Rejecting non-essential cookies will not prevent you from placing an order, although some optional features may work differently.

With your consent, we may use Google Analytics and Google Ads services, including conversion measurement and, where enabled, remarketing. Google may receive device, usage, advertising interaction and transaction-related data. We use Google Consent Mode to communicate relevant consent choices to Google services.

Where enhanced conversions are enabled, limited contact or transaction information may be transformed into a hashed form and sent to Google for advertising measurement. We use this feature only where we have an appropriate lawful basis and have provided any required notice and choice.

You can learn more about how Google handles data from businesses that use its services and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use Google services.

Further information about the cookies currently used on the Site, their providers and their duration is available through our Cookie preferences tool and, where provided, our Cookie Policy.

4. When we share personal data

We share personal data only where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Recipients may include:

  • Shopify, which provides our ecommerce platform and related services.
  • Payment providers and financial institutions, which process and verify payments and refunds.
  • Warehousing, delivery and logistics providers, which prepare, ship and deliver orders.
  • Technology, hosting, security and customer service providers, which help us operate and protect the Site and communicate with customers.
  • Analytics and advertising providers, including Google, where those services are enabled and subject to your choices where required.
  • Email and marketing providers, which help us send service and marketing communications.
  • Professional advisers, including accountants, auditors, insurers and legal advisers.
  • Public authorities, regulators, courts or law enforcement, where disclosure is required by law or is necessary to protect our rights or the rights of others.
  • A buyer, investor or successor organisation in connection with a proposed or completed sale, merger, restructuring or transfer of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal data for money. We may share limited data with advertising and analytics providers as explained above, subject to applicable law and your cookie and privacy choices.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers operate in, or access personal data from, countries outside the United Kingdom. This may include Canada, the United States and other countries where Shopify and our other providers operate.

Where a restricted international transfer takes place, we use a lawful transfer mechanism. Depending on the destination and provider, this may include UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or another safeguard recognised under applicable data protection law. We may also apply additional technical or organisational measures where appropriate.

You may contact us if you would like further information about the safeguards relevant to your personal data.

6. How long we keep personal data

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, fraud prevention and dispute-resolution requirements. Our usual retention periods are:

  • Order, payment, tax and accounting records: generally up to six years after the end of the relevant financial year, or longer if required by law or needed for a legal claim.
  • Customer service enquiries and routine correspondence: generally up to two years after the matter is closed.
  • Customer account information: while the account remains active and generally up to two years after closure, unless it forms part of an order record that must be kept longer.
  • Marketing records: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent. We may keep limited suppression information for longer so that we can respect your opt-out.
  • Analytics and advertising data under our control: according to the settings and cookie durations described in our cookie tools, normally no longer than necessary for measurement and campaign management.
  • Fraud and security records: for as long as reasonably necessary to protect our Site, customers and legal rights.

We may keep information for longer if there is an unresolved complaint, dispute, investigation or legal requirement. When information is no longer required, we delete it or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you may have the right to:

  • ask for access to the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • ask us to delete personal data;
  • ask us to restrict how personal data is used;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing;
  • receive certain personal data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent; and
  • ask for human review where a decision with legal or similarly significant effects is made solely by automated means.

These rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal exceptions. To exercise a right, email support@angicoo.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Information about making a complaint is available at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. If you are located in the European Economic Area, you may also contact the data protection authority in your country.

8. Marketing choices

You can stop marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting us. We may still send non-marketing messages that are necessary to manage an order, return, account or customer service request.

You can manage advertising and analytics cookies through the Site’s Cookie preferences or Privacy choices link.

9. Automated tools and fraud screening

We and our service providers may use automated tools to identify potentially fraudulent or high-risk transactions. These tools may flag an order for review. We do not intend to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means without appropriate safeguards.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration and disclosure. However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please keep account passwords confidential and contact us if you believe your account or personal data has been compromised.

11. Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

12. Third-party websites

The Site may contain links to websites or services operated by other organisations. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for those practices. We encourage you to read their privacy information before providing personal data.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our services, providers, technology or legal obligations. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Where a change materially affects how we use personal data, we will provide additional notice where required.
